Finally Stepped into FaceBook

I wanted to contact / learn about someone that Genevieve (youth minister at Palmer) had put me in touch with, as she is giving a lecture about Teens and these various social networking sites. G. told me the only place to get to know her was joining FaceBook and meeting her there.

Sooooo,,,, typed in www.FaceBook.com and within seconds I had an account setup, confirmed via email to aol address. Then I went back to FB to get started and was AMAAAZED at the fact that FB immediately presented me with everyone in my aol address book that was already in FB. I am completed WOWED by this. In those first few secs where I didn't click to how they had found these connections, I was truly a big spooked and wondering about "big brother" and if I had just opened myself up more than I wanted to.

This is going to be a real fun ride!

Getting into GatorNews - First foray into RSS Feeds

Took the step to setup an account. Didn't have a clue what "feeds" to request, so simple accepted the "Starter Kit". Probably can't get to overwhelmed with something called a "Starter Kit", right? WRONG. There's a flood of entries with strange words and strings of letters, a whole new language.
